Internet poker has become globally acclaimed lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the croupier declares "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers attain 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you have to either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes directly to the dealer. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a figure on par with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The house pays cash even with your wager and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
